Reading reflexton #2 Blogging for ELT

There were some worries when I was english teacher before. The biggest worry when I was a English teacher in Korea(EFL environment) was how the student be exposed lots of english language. Other worry was that I always felt short of time every class progressing class activities and checking assignments. Last one was making students interact with each other in English. It made it difficult that different english levels of students and students' tendency(e.g. extrovert and introvert personality).
After reading this article, I found answers of that worries. The solution is Blogging.
First, blog offers many opportunities of meeting english. they blog a spot what they interest and get responses from public audience. They can discuss about some issue with other classmates or other country people and get feedback about their spots.
Second, blog can be a useful means of instruction, syllabus, course information, homework, assignment, etc. Teacher make student know lesson before the class. And they can check assignment with disregarded for time.
Third, in the Internet environment, students are able to interact easily. By blogging spots, they can get comments from other people. And there is evidence to suggest that students that who are quite in class can find their voice when given the opportunity to express themselves in a blog.
Blog is not only way for interesting but also good tool of learning english. Keeping the students blog as a habit, blogging is innovate way to learning english

reading reflextion #1(How I learned English in the pre-Internet age and why you can do it faster)

I read a article "How I learned English in the pre-Internet age and why you can do it faster" .
Reading the article, I could remind the story of how I learn English. I usually read text books and some kinds of newspaper like "New York Times". And I had to  look up new words by thick dictionary book. For spoken inputs, the cassette tape was almost the only listening material. The classic learning way is meaningful enough, most of the learning resources were focused on student input. And by learning these topics and conversations were controlled not cause the interest of the learner. So the internet can be a useful alternative in many aspects of learning English. First, students can make their output and share it easy.(Using many correction tools, student are able to self-correct thiers.) They can make short blog spots, photo essay, audio and video clip by their laptop, ipad, smartphone. Second internet gives student authentic english materials. Students explore World Wide Web and look for their interesting topics.
The way of learning English in the era is just enjoying surfing the internet, finding the interest and exchanging the opinions happlily.

Second, Using Quizlet to create a set of Flashcard-related activities for specific lessons.
Last, make PPT to introduce the class and activities. and one of the activity is using Padlet for posting thier own opnions.

Buffet Reflection

Looking back at all of the CALL tools and resources we've covered so far, which ones can you foresee yourself using in your (current and future) teaching, professional development, and personal learning? How might you use them?

1. Blogging (creating a course blog and/or student blogs, blogger tweaks)
Blogging is helpful for my english learning. I'd like to blog spots about reflection about learning English. (e.g. English journals)

2. Presentations (finding online, creating with Prezi, Google Presentation, or Powtoon)
I've already been using many presentations in my class(not only english classes.) When the description of the flow or the activity by the use of a presentation of the class , the class may be more effective .

3. Video & Audio tools can be a good motivation thing. Activities: Quizlet, Crossword makers, games, Proprofs are good for learning words. Last, I can communicate with students via BAND or GOOGLE+. And these tools make the exchange of opinions possible.
